Star Wars Galactic Christmas Wreath
I always like to get a real tree & a real wreath for Christmas.
A lot of times Ill decorate the front door wreath with just a bow and leave it at that.
This year I wanted something more fun!
I really wanted to do something Star Wars-y. I didn't want to have to buy anything extra BUT I also didn't want to ruin any of our figures or collectibles.
So here is a VERY easy, and simple way to have an awesome & fun Star Wars wreath, that also won't damage your figures!
Pick up a wreath from like the dollar store, get some fishing wire, a pair of scissors and a bunch of figures!
Using Galactic Heroes, I decided to go with a Hoth Theme. I thought (especially once it snowed) it would be very fitting.
Step 1: Gather your materials & lay everything out
Step 2: Wrap each figure with the fishing wire enough times around to stabilize the figure exactly how you want on the wreath
Step 3: Tie it to the wreath & snip the extra fishing wire off!
Step 4: HANG! You are done, it looks awesome & everyone is jealous.
They also made perfectly appropriate Christmas Galacatic Heroes, but ours were not opened, so we want to keep them Mint in Box! :D

Who Ya Gonna Call??? Slime Trooper

Artist extraordinaire Nicole Falk has created this very cool "Slime Trooper" helmet which will be on display and auctioned off at STAR WARS CELEBRATION V on August 15. The auction is being held by the 501st Legion TK Helmet Project, and the proceeds from it will go towards the Make a Wish Foundation.
Nicole's helmet is her interpretation of Slimer from The Ghostbusters using a Stormtrooper helmet. It even plays the Ghostbusters theme song. All we can say is way cool Nicole, we may even have to bid on this one ourselves.
Here is a video demonstrating the sound feature.

The White Album
I was overjoyed and honored when I was asked to participate with 12 other artists on this amazing book. It is such gorgeous collaboration of art and music and everyone should see it.
I have 50 copies available for pre-sale $20 for pick up at Comic-Con OR $20 plus shipping for mailed out copies (ships after Comic Con). San Diego Comic Con runs from July 22 - 26 (I will be there 23-26), 2009. Copies will be for sale at my booth NECA-#4345
On February 7th, 1964 The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite ran a story about The Beatles’ United States arrival in which the correspondent said “The British Invasion this time goes by the code name Beatlemania”.The fifteenth American album by The Beatles released in 1968 is commonly known as The White Album because it has no text other than the band’s name on its plain white sleeve, and on the early LP and CD releases, a serial number.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEForty-five years ago, The Beatles invaded America, bringing with them a sound and attitude different from anything any of us had seen or heard before. They challenged and inspired us, forcing us to think about how things could be if we would only realize the importance of love. Its now 2009. Although ts been nearly forty years since The Beatles broke up, and yet their message is as relevant and influential as ever. The greatest band in history is still inspiring hope and dreams, still changing lives and fostering creativity, still shaping the way we look, listen and think.Announcing THE WHITE ALBUM: A Collection of Images Inspired by the Music of The Beatles.Compiled and introduced by writer and illustrator Russell Walks, and showcasing work by artists including Spencer Brinkerhoff III, Matt Busch, and others, THE WHITE ALBUM presents an exciting array of dynamic, emotional works of art, each of has been inspired by a song from The Beatles extensive catalogue.THE WHITE ALBUM looks at the work of The Beatles through a kaleidoscope of artistic styles and viewpoints. THE WHITE ALBUM will be available for the very first time ever this summer at the San Diego Comic-Con (July 22 -26, 2009). Dont miss your chance to pick up a copy at the only location where every artist will be available to personalize your book.
